Well done to all at the Champs !

Commercial won four events in the 2014 Champs. A big congratulations to the following crews: –

  • Mens senior quad
  • Womens junior 15 quad
  • Mens junior 16 quad
  • Mens junior 16 single scull (Ryan Baskerville)

Men’s Senior Squad

The highly experienced quad comprised Con Collis, Sean Jacob, Albert Maher and Michael Maher.  They retained their title in a very competitive field of youngsters!

Women’s Junior 15 Squad

The quad of Alanna O’Rourke, Grainne MacNamara, Siobhan Maxwell, Rachel McDermott and well coxed by Emma Coyle, came home first to cap off a brilliant year for the girls.  We’re expecting great things in 2015!

Mens Junior 16 Squad

The quad of Patrick Griffin,Ryan Colin Baskerville,Sean Beggan,Niall Beggan (coxed by Rory Keogh) impressed throughout the heats and won their final in fine fashion.  This is a crew that rows with some style and great composure.

Men’s J16 Single ScullRyanBaskerville2

Ryan ‘The Hound’ Baskerville, in spite of an recent injury, had a magnificent victory in taking the J16 title. Considering there were 51 scullers entered for this event, it was outstanding achievement.  Ryan took two medals away from the Champs and is therefore Commercial’s man of the match..

  1. I would like to thank all the Coaches for their hard work and dedication throughout the rowing season. We are very fortunate to have so many dedicated people who give up their time willingly to Coach and support all of our athletes.  Best of luck to the Coaches and Athletes who will compete at the Home Internationals  in two weeks time, also to Eimear who will compete at Junior Olympics.
A big thanks to Martina for all her support and hard work throughout the year (and for all the lifts to blesso).
  2. We are having an end-of-season party on Sunday evening eight-till-late.
