Eimear Lambe, at just 17 years of age, finished in 11th position overall in a world-class field at the Youth Olympic Games in Nanjing on August 20th.
After fighting her way through the heats, repechages and semi-finals, Ireland’s Eimear came in behind the Czech Replublic in a very close race in the B final. Eimear’s crossed the finish-line in just 4:03.82.
The JW1X event was won by Euro champ Krystsina Staraselets (aged 18) of Belarus.
